This is a revised edition of the classic 1963 edition, which has been out-of-print for many years. In the introduction to the 1963 edition, then editor in chief of Church of God Publications Lewis J. Willis said, "Only a minimum of editing has been employed so as to retain the spiritual warmth and personal freshness of pulpit delivery." That statement remains true with this new edition. A sincere effort has been made to retain the style and spirit of Dr. Hughes' writing on this important subject. The revisions are minimal. The major change is a new format for the Study Section at the end of the book. Other changes include correcting typographical errors found in the 1963 edition, adding Scripture references to all quoted verses, updating the copyright page, typesetting the book in a more readable modern typeface, redesigning the inside pages, and adding a new four-color cover. It is hoped that these changes will make the revised edition even more usable for a new generation of readers who are seeking the answer to the question, What Is Pentecost?
