Cognitive Behavioural Coaching (CBC) is an evidence-based approach to coaching that helps ourselves and our clients create desirable and sustainable changes in their lives. This course will give you everything you need to understand CBC and how coaches use it to help people achieve their personal and professional goals.CBC looks at how our thoughts, feelings and actions are connected and by modifying the way we think using cognitive strategies, and the way we act using behavioural methods, we can respond more flexibly to situations, reinterpreting negative thoughts, avoiding thinking traps, and making positive changes to our behaviour.In the course, you will learn:What Cognitive Behavioural Coaching (CBC) is and how it worksUnderstand problems using the cognitive model and how we get stuck in problematic cyclesStep-by-step how CBC is used by coachesWhat it is like to work as a coachHow CBC applies to common problems like procrastination and assertivenessThird-wave approaches that integrate mindfulness into cognitive behavioural approachesThroughout this course you will develop an evidence-based approach to coaching, understanding both the theoretical models that underpin successful change, and the tools, techniques and skills that coaches need to support their clients.The course comes with a comprehensive handbook and is assessed by a series of multiple-choice quizzes.
